Limited Finish Performance Warranty
Vintage Woods warrants that its factory applied coating is properly applied and designed to perform as a protective architectural finish when installed and maintained in accordance with Vintage Woods guidelines. Exterior wood finishes are inherently affected by exposure, environment, and maintenance practices, and ongoing care is required to preserve appearance over time.
To maintain color depth and surface protection, Vintage Woods recommends periodic application of its Maintenance Coat based on exposure, color selection, climate, and orientation. Maintenance intervals typically range from three to five years. If maintenance coatings are not applied, natural weathering and color change will occur as expected and do not indicate a defect or failure of the wood or finish system.
WHAT IS COVERED: This warranty covers verified premature coating failure under normal exterior exposure, including peeling, blistering, or abnormal breakdown of the coating film resulting from defects in factory application.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED: This warranty does not cover normal and expected changes in color, tone, or sheen due to ultraviolet exposure or weathering. It also excludes issues resulting from wood movement including warping, cupping, checking, cracking, or splitting; improper storage, handling, or installation; failure to field seal cut ends or penetrations; inadequate ventilation or drainage; contact with chemicals, standing water, or irrigation systems; or damage caused by impact, fire, extreme weather events, or other environmental conditions beyond Vintage Woods’ control.
VINTAGE WOODS’ RESPONSIBILITY: If a covered coating defect is confirmed, Vintage Woods will, at its sole discretion, provide replacement coating materials sufficient to repair the affected area or refund the original purchase price of the affected product. This warranty does not cover labor, removal, reinstallation, shipping, equipment, or accessory costs.
NATURAL VARIATION: Wood is a natural material and variation in grain pattern, texture, and color tone is inherent and expected. Continued exposure to sunlight and environmental conditions will cause the finish to evolve over time, contributing to a natural and unique appearance that is not considered a defect.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Vintage Woods’ total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the affected product. No other express or implied warranties are provided, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
WARRANTY REGISTRATION: This warranty is valid only for projects registered within ninety days of installation. Registration may be completed online at vintagewoodsusc.com or by emailing info@vintagewoodsinc.com
